So, it’s time to start looking at the rest of the year and take the much-awaited holiday in the lap of nature. Travel Restrictions and Bans

Several states have gradually started easing COVID-related lockdown, bans and restrictions while imposing few guidelines for locals and tourists. There are few states and cities that extended lockdowns, such as Uttarakhand, Sikkim, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, and some districts of Uttar Pradesh. States are welcoming tourists with RC-PCR Text Report and Vaccination certificates.

Hotels and Hostels are taking a minimum of 5-7 days in almost every state, allowing visitors. Every city follows strict COVID guidelines imposed by the state government, from curfews to vaccination to keeping tourist accommodation sanitized. Many hotels, hostels, and resorts are equipped with COVID testing kits and housing their staff to lower the risk of virus spread.

Transportation Precautions

As the lockdown gradually easing in the country, public transportation services are resuming in full capacities, like Delhi Metro, flights, tourist buses, and more. But public transport is always at a higher risk of spreading the virus. It is advised to use your vehicle or cabs to travel. Self-drive cars are the best options for your commute- both for travelling and daily purpose.

State-Wise Travel Guidelines

• Andhra Pradesh: The state is allowing tourists both national and international. Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.  
• Assam: Tourists travelling here shall mandatorily undergo RAT test upon arrival. Travellers have to undergo a mandatory seven days of home quarantine even if the result is negative.
• Bihar: Travellers from Punjab, Kerala, and Maharashtra will be required to carry an RT-PCR negative report within the last 72hrs. For Gaya: Tourists from Delhi NCR also need the report. Mandatory 10 days quarantine.
• Chandigarh: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs or vaccination certificate, at least one dose over 2 weeks old.
• Chhattisgarh: Tourists travelling here are advised to carry an RT-PCR report done within the last 96 hrs or vaccination certificate, after two doses of vaccination.
• Delhi: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs and 14 days of quarantine.
• Goa: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs or vaccination certificate (2 doses complete).
• Gujrat: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs.
• Haryana: Thermal Screening at hotels, restaurants and other closed public places.
• Himachal Pradesh: Thermal Screening upon arrival or at hotels, restaurants and other closed public places.
• Jammu & Kashmir: Mandatory RT-PCR report.
• Jharkhand: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs.
• Karnataka: Thermal Screening.
• Kerala (e-pass is Mandatory): Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs and compulsory 14 days home/hotel quarantine. 
• Ladakh: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 96 hrs and 7 days quarantine.
• Madhya Pradesh: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 48 hrs.
• Manipur: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs.
• Maharashtra:

1. Aurangabad/Nagpur/Mumbai: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 48 hrs.
2. Pune: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 48 hrs. Hand stamping for asymptomatic tourists.
3. Shirdi/Kolhapur: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs.

• Meghalaya: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 48 hrs or certificate of vaccination.
• Mizoram (m-pass is mandatory): Negative Covid report and mandatory 10-day home or institutional quarantine.
• Nagaland: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs or vaccination certificate, after 2 doses.
• Odisha: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 48 hrs or vaccination certificate, after 2 doses.
• Punjab: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 48 hrs or vaccination certificate, at least one dose.
• Rajasthan: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs.
• Tamil Nadu (e-Pass Mandatory): Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs.
• Telangana: No restriction, only thermal screening.
• Tripura: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs.
• Uttarakhand: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs. The state is under lockdown, and travellers also have to follow the restriction rules.
• Uttar Pradesh: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs. Some of the districts in the state are still under lockdown restrictions and ban interstate travelling, if not necessary.
• West Bengal: Mandatory RT-PCR report, done within the last 72 hrs.

The RC-PCR report time starts from the swab collection time. The government requests all travellers travelling by any mode to have Arogya Setu App downloaded on their phones. Keep checking travel tourism India, State Government and other official websites before planning your holidays.

Note: Even if you have a negative report but show symptoms, you must undergo 7-14 days of quarantine.
